Update on the Batoka Clinic
As we close out another month, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible milestones achieved through the faith-driven work of the Buy a Brick Foundation. Here’s a look at the progress we’ve made and the opportunities ahead to SERVE and TRANSFORM.
Progress on the Batoka Clinic
In May 2024, construction began on the much-needed Batoka Clinic, a project that will provide access to medical care for over 3,000 villagers in the region. This clinic is a testament to the power of community. Teams from Virginia, Alabama, and Texas worked alongside local villagers, fostering a true sense of CommUnity and ownership in the project.
While we’ve made significant progress, we still need $85,000 to complete the clinic, including the construction of nurses’ living quarters. Together, we can bring this vital project to fruition and ensure sustainable healthcare for the Batoka community!
Looking Ahead to 2025: Opportunities to Volunteer
Our work doesn’t stop here. From April to September 2025, teams from the United States will be in Zimbabwe to continue our mission. We also have full-time boots on the ground, led by our Project Coordinator, Kumbulani Tshambo, who is ready to assist volunteers on other dates. If you’ve ever felt the call to make a difference, this is your chance to join us. Along with the Batoka clinic, volunteers are helping on many projects, including:
Monde Water Project: Budgeted at $150,000, this project will pump water from the mighty Zambezi River to provide reliable access to clean water for communities in need.
Secondary School in Jambezi: Education remains a priority, especially in rural areas. We aim to build a secondary school in Jambezi, with a budget of $85,000.
More Schools and Infrastructure: Expanding educational opportunities and supporting local development remains central for Buy a Brick.
As we reflect on this year and enter this Advent season, we are reminded of how God has guided us through challenges and blessed us with opportunities to serve. For nearly 21 years, the Buy a Brick Foundation has been on the ground in Africa, operating as a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit. Our faith in Jesus Christ continues to lead and inspire our work. On behalf of the entire Buy a Brick family, thank you for your unwavering support. May God bless you all year round. Together, we can continue to bring hope, healing, and transformation to the people of Zimbabwe.
Your prayers and financial support are crucial to completing these life-changing projects. Donations can be made via our website or mailed to:
