Masuwe Primary School
Masuie, this my friends, is one you would have to see to believe. Approximately 160 children were attending school in what can only be described as large tin cans.
See the before and after pictures for this one. Masuie is an hour drive into the bush from Victoria Falls Township. Masuie was the third school project that we took on. This project required the participation of the entire village and what a Team effort it was. Together, we built two huge school blocks. Understand, that every block that was used to build these structures was made by hand, cement was mixed and poured into a brick mold and then set out in the sun to cure for a week. We also built brand new outdoor toilets, as the old ones were literally falling in. The entire Village of Masuie has been transformed with the addition of the new school. The school buildings have become the central meeting point for all the community events and festivities.
